time opportunity for a Newborn Nursery (Mother/Baby/Couplet Care) RN.
DEPARTMENT:

bed Postpartum/Antepartum unit Basic
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing Current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Texas, or eligible for immediate state license NRP certification :
current or obtain within 6 months of hire Current RN experience in an acute care setting with Nursery or Maternal/Newborn (Mother/baby) :
Will work with both Newborn Nursery and Postpartum patients.
Perform well baby exams, PKUs Basic computer skills :
computerized charting on EPIC/Care Connect.
Flexibility with schedule.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of computer documentation; Good keyboard skills; Working knowledge of the care and management of the patient in the setting Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred.

More than 2 years current Nursery, couplet care, Maternal/Newborn RN experience The staff RN is a professional caregiver who is responsible for designated patients for a specified time frame.
The staff RN utilizes the nursing process, the environment and other health care resources to meet the specialized age:
appropriate physical, emotional and spiritual needs of all ages of patient populations assigned.
The Womens Services area is averaginng between 170 to 200 deliveries per month.
