Job Description:
Maintenance QA Records Specialist The Quality Assurance Records Specialist is responsible for maintaining and insuring currency of aircraft records to include aircraft logbook entries, airworthiness directives, alert service bulletin compliance and tracking of life limited parts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES The Quality Assurance Records Specialist must be experienced with aircraft records and have a comprehensive knowledge of the GMR Operations Manual, and FAA regulations.
Reviews aircraft and engine logbook pages to ensure compliance for completeness and accuracy.
Communicates aircraft record errors to Regional Manager and Mechanics for correction.
Insures that recorded maintenance is entered into the computer based tracking system.
Audits engine and airframe hard cards to ensure proper entries are completed.
Maintains and updates FAA form 337's for each aircraft.
Maintains and updates AD and ASB listing for each aircraft.
Assist with technical data collection and distribution.
Enters new aircraft and part number data into electronic management systems (e.
g.
Ramco) Makes all appropriate notifications to the Records Analyst and/or QA Manager regarding all internal and external reportable events.
Demonstrates working knowledge of the contents of the, Operations Manual, Minimum Equipment Lists, Policies and Procedures and all Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to aircraft Maintenance records.
Maintains current reference material as required.
Participates in the ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of policies and a quality management program designed to measure and ensure that Med-Trans is appropriately responsive to its customer's needs, the cost-effectiveness of the service and program safety.
QUALIFICATIONS Valid and current FAA A&P Mechanic's license 5 years' experience working with aircraft maintenance and alterations documents.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required Bachelor Degree preferred Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio Ability to work in a typical interior/office work environment.
Ability to sit for long periods of time Continually required to perceive normal speaking levels with or without correction and have the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
