TAX ACCOUNTANT I (hybrid)

Denton, TX Denton, TX Overview Tax Accountant I Responsible for extracting and analyzing financial information and preparing work papers for tax provision and return preparation.
Primary Duties Preparation of worksheets and gathering of data for income tax return preparation.
Preparation of initial worksheets for income tax provision.
Preparation of journal entries, check requests and maintenance of tax files.
Account Reconciliations.
Preparation of income tax depreciation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 1-3 years of tax, accounting or finance experience Previous experience in Federal, state, and international tax a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
Oracle Software experience plus.
OneSource Software experiences a plus.
Competencies / Attributes Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Ability to prepare and process journal entries.
Ability to problem-solve Ability to work under deadlines.
Working Conditions /Physical Requirements The work is sedentary.
Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work.
However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc.
No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
