Modern office setting Food provided Social Media & Content Manager Full-Time As Social Media & Content Manager, you will lead all content creation, copywriting and editing, social media marketing and social advertising strategies, community management, and other content strategies for all marketing department clients and for the Square 205 brand and any other internal brands.
You will work directly with the account manager to create effective data-driven strategies for clients and manage all implementation by you and your team.
You will work autonomously as well as collaborate with art directors, designers, copywriters, producers, marketing specialists and others to accomplish your deliverables.
Deliverables will be assigned through our project management software Teamwork.
It will be your responsibility to track assignments and tasks, both for yourself and your team, log time, and deliver updates through this software.
You may assist with account management as needed under the direction of the Account Manager.
Content Creation Your primary role will be overseeing all content creation for the marketing department.
This will include brainstorming, creating, and transforming ideas into words for social posts, digital and print publications, advertisements, videos, websites, and more.
You'll create, organize, share, and facilitate discussion for various formats of content such as social lineups, email content, skeleton docs, blogs, scripts, and more.
When content is delegated to other team members, you'll be responsible for editing and feedback.
Additionally, you will provide creative direction and feedback for accompanying art, graphics, image, and video needs.
Social Media Management You will lead implementation of social media strategies, content creation, and ad strategy for client and internal social media campaigns that lead to brand awareness, page growth, engagement, and click throughs that provide a high level of value to our clients.
This includes lineup creation, content posting, community management, social property build-out and optimization, and other tasks for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok and other social networks.
You should understand how to curate, create, and repurpose content best suited for specific formats such as standard posts, reels, stories, shorts, different ad formats and more across each of these social networks.
You should be able to quickly create high-performance strategies through brand research, competitor analysis, campaign mapping and workflows, target audience and persona creation and targeting, creative direction, copywriting and editing, and technically use of all necessary tools such as email marketing platforms, Meta Business Suite, Meta Ad Manager, Wordpress, and more.
SEO & PPC Needs At times, you will work with Digital Strategists and other marketers to create and organize SEO-rich content.
You should understand the basic principles of SEO, keyword theory, how to research keywords, how to analyze competitor websites, and how to incorporate HTML tags with copywriting.
You may help to optimize content for other online properties such as social channel profiles, directory websites, and more.
Additionally, you may provide copywriting and editing for pay-per-click (PPC) advertising needs.
Additional Responsibilities Work directly with brand owners, brand managers, marketing directors, etc.
, and collaborate with other team members to provide creative solutions for marketing projects of all types.
You will lead the creation of brand messaging documents.
You will lead the creation of the content strategy documentation.
This will include target audience research and segmentation.
Understand positioning statements and value propositions in order to correctly position products and services to correct markets with strategic messaging.
Work with other team members to determine client needs and budget.
Ensure campaigns stay on scope and within budget.
Revise, edit, and proofread content as needed by client or other team members.
Research competitors and keep abreast of market trends.
Provide data-driven analysis and reporting no less than once per month to refine campaigns with specific action plans and to show value to the client.
You will work with art directors to create and explore ideas and concepts for both the visual and verbal elements of content marketing.
It will be your responsibility to collaborate with the design team to solve problems with visuals supporting any content marketing and when necessary, request the involvement of the Creative Director.
Demonstrate ability to work in and lead the content creation team.
You will be required to pursue continued learning, especially in the realm of content marketing strategies (i.
e.
constant blog reading, side projects, online training, etc.
).
You will co-lead the internship program for the marketing department and will do everything in your power to ensure at least one marketing intern is hired per semester.
You will assist in the hiring of employee and contract marketers as needed with or without another manager's assistance.
The Social Media & Content Manager will work with other management to help create all the content and social procedures necessary for an efficient workflow.
You will provide accountability to ensure these procedures are being used throughout the marketing department.
Skills Marketing campaign copywriting Organizational skills (for managing a content calendar, asset management, time management, etc.
) Creative writing and creative direction for accompanying visuals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube The ability to develop community-building strategies Experience engaging on different social media platforms Experience with social media customer care Data analysis Experience managing at least one social media professional or intern The ability to develop content strategies Extensive knowledge of creating engaging videos for various social channels Mobile video editing skills Customer service You will complete all of these responsibilities and any others necessary for the success of the team and to provide industry-leading value and customer service to our beloved Square 205 clients.
