DUTIES Provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources (HR) Department.
Provide guidance on routine City of Denton policies, procedures and/or employment-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders; refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR personnel.
Assist and provide administrative support to the Human Resources Business Partners on employee relations matters.
Provide technical support to the Talent Acquisition team in the candidate selection process; application review and ranking, locating qualified candidates through sourcing and screening, post vacant job(s) posting and advertise job openings, coordinate interview(s), and respond to candidate inquiries.
Maintain confidential employee documentation and database information according to applicable law, regulation, and City of Denton policy.
Coordinate, administer and execute assigned department project and program tasks.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, City of Denton policies and practices, and recommended best practices in course of work duties.
Research information, compile data, informational memos, letters, reports, forms, plans, and documents as needed.

Job Requirements EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; and Two (2) years of work experience with extensive customer service, discretionary decision-making, handling of confidential matters, and administrative duties, OR High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and Four (4) years of work experience with extensive customer service, discretionary decision-making, handling of confidential matters, and administrative duties, OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently while handling multiple tasks and changing priorities with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in oral and written forms, for the needs of the audience.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check and social security number verification.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
