Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to dog owners and ensure a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners - Supervise and monitor the behavior and interactions of dogs in a daycare setting - Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in your care - Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing basic grooming for dogs - Clean and maintain the daycare facility, including dog play areas, kennels, and common areas - Organize and facilitate group play sessions for dogs of similar size and temperament - Provide basic training and enrichment activities for dogs to promote mental stimulation and physical exercise Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service or working with animals is preferred - Knowledge of dog behavior, body language, and safe handling techniques - Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and breeds with confidence and care - Comfortable with animal restraint when necessary - Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) such as bags of dog food or crates - Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment - Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays Note:
This position may also be referred to as Dog Daycare Attendant, Dog Handler, or Kennel Assistant.
Veterinary assistant or pet sitting experience is a plus.
